More About our Services

Here is how Amelio Services can help you.

Amelio Services providers offer individualized, nonclinical one-to-one support that you shape around your goals, your schedule and the places you love.

Five kinds of support

Amelio Services providers help in five areas, and your interests guide the work.

  • A personal resource library

Your provider helps you build a collection of resources that supports your goals.

    • Classes and places you like
    • Bus routes and how-to guides
    • People to call for help
  • Community participation

You explore local activities, build connections, and practice self-advocacy.

    • Clubs, groups and events
    • Volunteering
    • Speaking up for yourself
  • Creative interests

You try art projects, classes and events that help you learn and connect.

    • Art, music and crafts
    • Photography and media
    • Sharing your work
  • Personal goals

You break a goal into manageable steps, then practice them together in real life.

    • Small, clear steps
    • Practice in real places
    • Track progress in the planner
  • Everyday living

You practice routines, meals, shopping, organizing and household skills.

    • Daily routines
    • Cooking and grocery lists
    • Money and shopping

How we work

This is what working with Amelio Services feels like.

We start with you.

Your provider gets to know your strengths, interests and goals before planning anything.

You get the right amount of help.

Your provider helps as much as you need, then steps back as you grow more confident.

Support happens in real places.

You spend time in everyday community places, alongside people of all abilities.

You are matched with care.

Amelio Services matches you with a provider who fits your interests and schedule, and keeps the same person when possible.

Your team stays informed.

With your permission, Amelio Services shares updates with your family, IF or service coordinator.

Safety and dignity come first.

Providers complete the background checks SDP requires, protect your privacy, and are trained to report harm.
